Catholic Church has lost!
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/6311097.stm

Personnel I think this is the correct way to go.  THe Catholic Church HAS no right complaining especial all the abuse the Nuns and pressts did to kids over the last 50 years!

included Battering them and sexual abusing them
SHAME ON THEM Catholic Church Has no right to complain and should be slap for doing this!

This does not mean Catholic people are bad is just the people that control it ARE !

The Catholic church has every right to complain because that is what democracy is all about. However,  the decision not to let them opt out of the anti-discrimination law is correct. They should definitley get their house in order before they start shouting about sin. As you say, too many of  their priests have got away with the most horrendous child abuse

There's no mention of the sixth form girls and their uniforms, how about that?  Where's the democracy there?

The Catholic church have got exactly what they deserve. Trying to say THEY were the victims of discrimination because they can't turn same sex couples away? Pathetic.

Hell is here, on earth, having to tolerate endless episodes of Big Brother clogging up the TV.

I agree, all subjects should be discussed, no matter how unpalatable they might be.

Of course but there's a time and a place for such discussions.

Yes, and some of us have decided this is the time and the place. Those who don't wish to discuss it can ignore the thread.

I wasn't saying now isn't the time or place to discuss religion. I mean that I don't think the chocolate forum is the time or place for some of Bounty's "Unpalatable" posts.

You all know paedophilia is one of my soap box subjects.  I would be ready with my rusty knife.  It's those sort of subjects that I was talking about, not the schoolgirls - that's just my little whim.
