Title: Christmas TV

Dr Who was a titter.  A good choice in Catherine Tate too as his temporary assistant.  I think she is a sexy woman.  Dr Who's new assistant looks like a real corker judging by the brief trailer.

I watched Inside man on DVD.  Other than that have been running, eating loads and listening to the radio.

Glad you had a good day Bounty.

We listened to Christmas music while we opened presents this morning, then ate too much, watched Narnia on the television and recorded it for the children.

We watched Dr Who too. It was good wasn't it?

Happy Christmas day everyone!.

I enjoyed Dr Who and The Vicar of Dibley.

The best thing I watched all day was Dr Martin. I love 'feel good TV' - especially that with lots of sunshine and great characters (that's why I loved The Darling Buds of May). The rest of the family watched Dr Who whilst I did some research for a forthcoming lecture. We have taped The Vicar of Dibley.

Calendar Girls was good on Christmas Eve too.  Even though I'd seen it before, bits of it still made me chuckle.

Yes, I watched that again too. What a brilliant cast!

Freema Agyeman. She was in the Crossroads revivial; she's a very good comic actress so I think she will suit the role well, from what I know of the show. She's certainly very attractive.

Vicar of Dibley was hilarious.

I only watched 3 programmes, Dr Who, Vicar of Dibley and Eastenders. Yay Pauline Fowler is dead.

It was a bit of a damp squib when she pegged it though. And how was Martin so sure she was dead? He didn't even check her pulse! And his wife/ex-wife/fiancee/lesbian, who is a nurse, was standing not five yards away!

I watched Corrie. It was altogether more cheerful than EE although there was a great deal of mischief in the sahpe of devil-boy David Platt.

Yes, Corrie was good - although unfortunately the digi box cut off the end. My mother wanted to see the dancing.

To think Christmas is supposed to be a time for family, and we watch the likes of Corrie and Eastenders

The Vicar of Dibley scored the highest ratings of any TV programme in the UK on Christmas Day, according to overnight estimates.

It was seen by 11.4m viewers, compared to 10.7m for the last episode of an EastEnders double bill.

Coronation Street was third, followed by the first half of EastEnders.

I don't have any new jamas, but watched it in my new slippers!

Sensible ones. Navy blue.  I like the sound of your reindeer ones, can I stroke them?

My 13 year old daughter got a pair of reindeer slippers from her grandad. My 2 year old put them out to pasture in the garden to fatten up, ready to pull Santa's sleigh next year!

I missed Vicar Of Dibley because we watched Doc Martin. There ought to be a way to split things like that so you can watch both.

I never watch any of the soaps. My mum does, but they bore me too easily and it is too much of a commitment to have to watch a programme every time it is on.

Peace and quiet at the moment because the children are watching Pirates of The Caribbean.

There is - it's called a video recorder, or a digi-box, or Sky Plus.

My huge, now-grown-upchildren and I could not resist watching Bedknobs and Broomsticks. It was their  favourite film when young. We all piled onto our big double bed and sang along with all the songs too!

I'm the same with Mary Poppins. I'm 27 but I still love every minute of it.

My first 'serious' boyfriend took me to see Mary Popins. We were both 17. I had never seen it before. I turned to finding him weeping openly as Julie Andrews sang Feed the Birds.  I fell hopelessly in love and we courted for 3 years. However, it was not to be and we separated.

Sadly, he died from cancer in May this year.

Unfortunately because of the mountain where we live we get no television reception at all unless we have a sky box and with that we can only tape what we are watching, so there is no hope unless we pay extra for sky plus and honestly I cannot afford that. So that's that.

My sympathies to you Oldspice about your first love. We never forget them do we?

No. I will never forget him but I remember him with fondness and that special first love feeling. What I have with my husband is much deeper, more mature and comfortable - we are like two pairs of old slippers together by the fireside.

That sounds wonderful. I would love that kind of relationship with a special someone.

You are both very lucky, but I am sure you already know that.
