I for one thought he had been dead for Donkey's years.  God bless him, he used to make me laugh when I was a kid.

He always seemed a nice old chap. He was on This Is Your Life about ten years back, and there was something reassuringly honest about him - he didn't bother trying to hide that he didn't have a clue who half the people they brought on were!

He was a very talented comic. I used to watch him on the television as a child. He used to make me laugh such a lot.

How sad to lose someone at Christmas time.

Yes, a lot of fairly famous people seem to be dying.

That came as a surprise to me, James Brown. 

I am not sure why but I don't expect people with money to die of pneumonia.

 James Brown was only 73. The news said 3 days before he died he had been out and about giving out presents.
