Title: Chocolate Lovers Diet
Post by: kevvosa on December 12, 2006, 04:01:16 pm

I found a 'Chocolate Lovers Diet' book the other day while visiting relatives. It's from 1981. It's from the days when Aero and Toffee Crisp were made by Rowntree Mackintosh, but it also had on the list:

Nestle superfine plain chocolate
Galaxy plain chocolate
Cadbury's Country Style
and Banjo bars/biscuits(?)

Thought I'd mention it anyway...it seems odd that Nestle had a dark chocolate brand out at the same time when Aero was still made by Mackintosh. Also I never knew that Galaxy ever did a plain chocolate (unless by plain they mean milk?).

Did Toffee Crisp exsist in 1981?  I thought they were a mid 80's invention...

Cant remember, but I think the point of it was that you can fit in a bar of chocolate per day along with normal food and lose weight. Sadly it's not to lose weight just by eating chocolate!

No, we are not experts on chocolate.  However, we are avid fans of chocolate and enjoy eating it and talking about it.  Will you be selling chocolate at the forthcoming olympics?  What are your opinions on Chinese chocolate?

Well, thansk so much for all of your response.

For bounty hunter, thanks. first, i am not a chocolate sellers, i am just the organizer of the greatest chocolate event in China--China Chocolate Peak 2007, so i am not able to sell chocolate during the olympic. For the chinese choclate, it is  dominated by the foreign brand and corporation, only a few national brand, for example, le cont. And now it is the battle time for the china chocolate market, more and more brands enter the china market, and most of them lose the game, only a few of them win it by  dominating some regional market.

For the taste, i am so sorry that i have taste all the chinese national chocolate, but in a general idea, it seems a little sweet, or too simplex.
