You can get Marabou disc in Woolworths too, but I've never seen Marabou Delight. Marabou is the chocolate used on Dime bars to give you an idea of the taste.

The Marabou Delight I'm after is not the disc chocolate, although this is excellent as well. It was made by the same company. It was like a bar shape.

Kevvosa, that does ring a bell. Marabou Delight was a bar, it had a very light texture to it. Definitely an excellent bar.

In which market did you see it?

Any info in locating it much appreciated. I think it may still be available in some European countries.

In Leeds market at one of the stalls selling chocolate bars at
clearance prices. I must check again to see if it's still there.

To answer your question loulou, a Marabou is a large Stork species common in much of Africa.

Photen I have checked for you and it isn't actually a Marabou Delight
bar. It is called "Schweizer not" (note: the 'o' is the German version
with 2 dots above it). It looked like it had some sort of nuts in it
from the packaging.

Nöt is German for nut.  I think Schweizer is 'a piece of' but my German is very poor.

Kevvosa, I appreciate your effort. Thanks very much.

Last few days I could not login at all. I had to re-create another account for myself, hence I am now Photen1.

Schweizer actually means 'Swiss' in English and the 'not' with two dots on top is Nut as known by everyone here.

Anyway, what a shame, I really thought, wow they are still around!

Thanks again, but do a keep a look out for it everyone!

Does anyone have a contact address or email for Marabou?

I'll try and get in touch with them and see what they say.

Hi Photen1

I remember this bar too and have been longing for it for about 20 years.  It tasted absolutely delicious! it was slightly crunchy/waferish and the wrapper was pink!  I will watch this space as I would love to see it revive.
