Post by: photen on January 21, 2005, 09:42:26 pm

Does anyone know what happened to Marabou Delight?

I remember this choclate over 12 years ago, and I just loved it.

If anyone has info on this, it will be greatly appreciated.

Hi  photen, yes I too remember this great bar and have missed it over the years. You say you remember this bar from about 12 years ago,but I'm sure I can recall it from much further back, maybe 1983 or so.All I know is that it had a lovely creamy almost ice-cream taste to it which was shaped like a slightly fatter dime bar with a pink centre to it.God knows what that stuff was made out of,but it was very mousse like in texture and made a good combination with the smooth chocolate coating.

The internet might be a great way to find info in general, but searching for any details on this fine chocolate bar is like looking for rocking horse droppings

I just did a Google search for rocking horse droppings (ok I'm bored).  It came up with 887 hits!

Yes, I did. But I bet a nursery school would have to do a risk assessment before they let any kids on it nowadays.

I am sure I read somewhere that there's a law now to the height a rocking horse can be.

Don't blame HSE. Blame "had a fall? Give us a call!"

When I was off work the other day I had the misfortune to turn on daytime tv.  I couldn't believe how many of these ads there were.

Same here. I was off Valentines day and it seems every other advert was 'Hurt yourself at work? Make a claim!'

Has anyone seen the new ad..."Been victimised at work, racial comments, unfair dismissal..call us today and we can help.No win, no fee"

You are right Paulham. I do not blame the HSE because at one time THEY would have been chasing errant employers and companies whose Health & Safety procedures were less than satisfactory. Now, thanks to THATCHER, the onus is on the victim to prove that they have been injured.

My Star Bar has too many calories in it, I might get fat - can I sue Cadbury?

Hi yes I too remember the Marabou delight bar. I remember that back in 1983 I used to go to weightwatchers. Every week I allowed myself one treat and it was a Delight Bar. After weigh in I used to sneek off to the ladies and eat my delight bar savouring every mouthful. It was wonderful. I haven't seen it in 20 years. I wonder if Marabou the manufacturer could put us in the picture as to what happened to it?
