So Peter Voisey, already a convicted child molester, abducted a six year old girl from her bath, raped her and abandoned her in a snow covered alleyway.  This time I thought, 'This has to be a whole life tarrif.  Surely this monster will never be free again.

But no - he was found guilty and given 'life' and then and get this:  the judge said he should not be considered for parole until he has served 10 years of his sentence.  'CONSIDERED FOR PAROLE!!!'  If this man comes out he will do it again, why can't this stupid judge understand this.

Something has to change.  Someone needs to get up a petition or something and get the politicians to change the law on sentencing.

I agree. Life should mean life. This man should have got a whole life tarrif.

What's the point of a life sentence that only lasts ten years?

The point is that there seems to be some fundamental flaw in the sentencing policy of serious sexual offenders.  Not a week goes by when I hear that someone has been raped or a child assaulted and guess what?  The man (it's mainly men) had done this before and been released.  As far as I am concerned anyone who seriously sexually assaults a child should never be free, they are just too dangerous.
