The Yellow Pages, Phone Book and Thompsons all go straight into the recycling bin in this house.  What's the point of them if you've got the internet?

I still use the yellow pages for finding phone numbers. Also we get a lot of business from people who find our number in the yellow pages so i think it is still good

If I can;t fit them thourgh the letter box I put it in the Blue bin( paper only) so half the time I;m cutting out the middle man!

623 are you saying you put them in the bin?  I don't think that's right.

That reminds me, once I got something delivered in a box and it was left in the bin. I was shocked but thankful it wasn't something important.

I get business from people who find me in Yellow Pages too but I think more often than not these days they actually mean yell.com

I think they should ask people if they want these expensively produced books rather than automatically distributing them to all.

My bank now asks if I want to receive statements online or by post to save on wasted paper.

Yes!  But not under that name.

And yes, where I live we can recycle Yellow Pages with the rest of the paper and cardboard.
