I hate going to the cinema these days. They don't show the kind of films I like at our local cinema and they won't let you take in your own sweets.
We go to the local film society when we can. We have seen some great stuff there such as The Motorcycle Diaries and Crash.

I went to see Casino Royale on Thursday - not what I'd choose to see, but it was a works party. It's not that bad actually; I imagine if you like that kind of film you'd think it was brilliant.
Oooh, only been there 2 days and it's the 'works party'. You must be well in there Smurfy!
I joined at just the right time didn't I? It was quite a night actually - we had a whole cinema screen booked out at Star City with reclining seats and everything. Before that we went for 'drinks and canapes' at one of the director's houses, which I assumed would be the standard couple of bottles of plonk. They had waitresses!
They had waitresses!
I never go to the cinema and I haven't for years. Even before the children came along I never liked the uncomfortable seats, the expensive drinks, sweets and ice-creams.
Nowadays there are still too many negatives for me ever to go to the pictures, like:-
It's so expensive and no more comfortable.
Not being able to pause it to go to the loo.
Having to travel miles and miles to find one.
Only being able to watch the movie once.
These days we rent DVD's on a Friday night, sit in comfort and watch the movie with our own popcorn and chocs, cups of tea or soft drinks. And if the children enjoy it they can watch it again in the morning before we take it back.
The last movie we rented was Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest. It was very good but I enjoyed the first one better.
The last DVD we bought was Ice Age 2 for my hubby for his birthday.
He is a hug fan and we all love Scrat.
That should say huge fan.
Although he likes hugs too.
Good Grief.
I'm glad I don't go to the cinema. It sounds to be a real rip off.
And I hate being too hot or too cold.
Nope I'm going to stay at home with my DVD and my home made popcorn.
Which only I can make... Hubby always burns it!!!
