Title: Question for Loulou
Post by: on January 18, 2005, 02:48:15 pm
Lou, have you been to The Sweetie Shop at 11 Stockton Terrace, Sunderland?  If so is it any good?
Title: Question for Loulou
Post by: loulou on January 18, 2005, 03:09:21 pm

It was but I don't think it is there anymore. Where did you find about it ?

It was full of old fashioned sweets in jars and sold everything you could think of.

If you like your olde worlde sweets, try Candies in Birmingham - across the road from the Hippodrome and next to the back to back museum, hence it sells all the old classics.

I don't think so.  I used to love going in there.  It was a real old fashioned department store.  Even if the staff were crap and the stuff a bit expensive it was great to walk around and have a coffee on the top floor.

Lou, can you get a train from Newcastle to Edinburgh? How long does it take?

We can get them from Peterborough but I'm not sure whether they stop in Newcastle.

There is a regular service between Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Edinburgh.  The journey takes one and a half hours.

Where you effected by that bad weather the other week Lou?
Title: Question for Loulou
Post by: loulou on January 21, 2005, 02:17:38 pm

Yes that is right oldspice about 1 1/2 hours from Newcastle to Edinburgh.

Yes choc chick those high winds got us. My garden fence blew down. My mams fence blew down and she had a good cry because the wind was so strong it smashed all the glass on the greenhouse and then the whole lot came down. One of my friends lost half the roof off his house. There's trees down all over around Sunderland and Newcastle. But the rain floooded my friends house in Carlisle, that's where the worst of it was.

I like the radley ones too. They feel gorgeous. Not sure I would get one though, bit hooked on DKNY!

The new radley for the summer has hot air balloons on. I have already fallen for it, just want to see how pale the base is before i commit myself.

Personally, if I had the cash it would be Louis Vuitton all the way, I love the papillions.
