Title: Fave crisps
Post by: kevvosa on October 27, 2006, 07:34:13 pm
What is your favourite crisps brand/flavour?

At the moment mine is McCoys Specials Hickory rib tortillas. Not technically crisps but I class them as such.

I used to eat loads of Squares - esp the beefy ones which i think have been discontinued. But since I'm now obsessively healthy i don't eat crisps. The closest i get is salt and vinegar snack a jacks. Talking of which - i haven't actually eaten any chocolate for about 3 months!

How did you manage that? I think I'd die if I didn't have chocolate at least once a week!

my favourite used to be Salt n Shake ..because i didn't need to add the salt if i didn't want to..and that's how i enjoyed them...Saltless..

i remember years and years ago..another or maybe the same company brought out the same sort of thing but with flavours ie tomato..smokey bacon etc...i don't think they did to good as i they didn't seem to stay around for to long..

does anyone else remeber these ?

I prefer Quavers and Wotsits to crisps. If I buy crisps I like strong flavours like bbq or tomato.

When a small kid, I used to love Walters' Potato Puffs. I haven't seem them for years though. My favourite flavour was cheese and tomato. Like Lou, these days I prefer Wotzits or Quavers.

Am i imagining this but were hedgehog crisps shaped like hedgehogs? I may be dreaming but i have memories of my dad buying them for me and telling me they had actual hedgehogs in them. I still ate them though!

I remember krunchie puffs from the school tuck shop. 5p a bag. I used to eat loads. God knows how i wasn't obese!?

I don't think they were actually hedgehog shaped. That would have been cool

I don't like crisps.  Walkers coll original Doritos are OK.  I really like those rice and whaet puffy things by Quakers.  They have the texture of polystyrene but taste great!

That's right, snack a jacks.  have you tried the BBQ flavour?

Does anyone remember Chipitos? They were like cheesy Wotzits but crunchier and came out in the  late 1960s.

I used to love Ringos. I've always preferred savoury snacks that have a different texture from crisps (which I find cut my gums and the roof of my mouth). i also find the beefy and BBQ flavours of today are far too salty.

Yes I remember them; I must have been about 8 or 9 when they were out. I liked the flavours but I had some kind of allergy to them since they brought me out in a rash!
