Title: Yorkie boulders
Post by: bethypoos on October 04, 2006, 09:31:27 pm
I saw these in tesco today. I think they were called boulders anyway - little bites in a bag. Think it was the raisin and biscuit version. I know yorkie is generally hated here, but i love it!

They're lovely, a bit like tiffin and there is a smarties version with mini smarties inside. Yum!

nemore? Don't you just hate that kind of text language? She only had to type one more letter - she might as well have spelt it properly.

Yes, I don't mind people using r or u or 4 so much as long as the communication is informal, and I think m8 for mate and sk8 for skate is really creative - but nemore instead of anymore is plain silly.

On a similar note, and sadly, a student at our college was recently killed in a car crash and one of the tributes, although touching was peppered with phrases such as "dem dat did not no you dunt no wot dey mist" and "I remmbr dem days we ad den I do start to cry babes".  I feel very old when I read stuff like that and wish it did not make the sap rise in me but it does. Sorry.

I find that kind of writing takes much longer to read than the normal type. I know that it's easier to write but even so...

"dem dat did not no you dunt no wot dey mist" and "I remmbr dem days we ad den I do start to cry babes".  That is that really nasty man with all the jewellery isn't it? Oh what is his name? Ali G that's him. I think he is responsible for a lot of this way of talking. At least I hadn't noticed it before him.

And I would have thought that for a tribute to someone who has just passed away they could have made the effort to write it out long hand for goodness sake.

What's next Pitman shorthand?
