Title: Milk
Post by: bethypoos on September 29, 2006, 09:12:44 pm

Just curious - what milk do you guys buy? Full fat, semi or skimmed? Organic or not?

I'm debating switching to skimmed from my usual semi - in a plan to reduce my fat intake. Am a bit worried it will just be like water though

If you only have milk in tea or coffee, you won't notice much difference from switching to skimmed. But if you like to drink milk, I wouldn't recommend it - it tastes like white water.

Semi skimmed for tea and coffee but it has to be full if I am drinking it or putting it on cereal.

Skimmed for everything.

I once drank skimmed milk all the time but missed the creaminess of semi skimmed.

I'm trying to avoid too much milk at the moment as it causes a lot of phlegm.

You just had to bring phlegm into it...

I use semi-skimmed for everything at home.  We have skimmed at work but I find I have to put more of it in my tea or coffee so I probably end up with about the same fat content.

It's true, many singers avoid dairy products because of this.
