Title: Naseem freed early
Post by: loulou on September 02, 2006, 01:35:56 am
Naseem Hamed is to be freed from jail 16 weeks into a 15-month sentence. They say he will be tagged. Isn't this disgraceful that he is released so soon. loulou38962.025162037

He should have got five years. He is a mad sod on the roads and needs teaching a proper lesson.

It is disgraceful.  However, as a massive boxing fan, I hope he will resume his boxing career.

As a boxing fan, I hope he doesn't.

There are some strange characters in the boxing world today, no less than Chris Eubank. I mourn for the days of Mohammed Ali (who i remember as Cassius Clay). What a genius he was - in many ways.

I find it odd the way that they set a sentence and nobody ever seems to serve the full amount. Why don't they cut out the crap and say what they mean when they set the time that would be much more honest for the victim.

I read in paper today that he was doing 90mph on the wrong side of the road on a blind bend. These madmen always end up hurting someone else. The couple he hit suffered very serious injuries and are still suffering.

Locally a man has just been jailed for 6 years in the follwoing circumstances:

He had 13 convictions for driving while disqualified. He had never passed a test. He had numerous convictions for drink driving - for which he had previously been jailed. He was driving an un-taxed, un-insured car at 55mph in a 30mph zone and he failed to give way at a junction. He ploughed into another car and killed the 19 year old driver. He was drunk and under the influence of drugs. He got away without a scratch. There is no justice. He should be dead. God forgive me, but he should.

I still think he should have had his hands chopped off.
