Because you obviously don't have to strip beds, dust and vaccum three bedrooms, do ironing for four people, wash all the floors downstairs and cook Sunday lunch!
Until recently, all of my Sundays have been like that! As I return to work this week, I have vowed to change my lifestyle and work less hard. With daughter away at university, that's one less to clean for and I have decided to try and keep at least two Sundays in the month for having a relaxing time with my husband. I am not sure how it will work out but I am going to try very hard.
623, why not find a 'Sunday hobby'? Fishing? Singing in the choir at church? Sunday football? Gardening?
Failing that, why not do some charity work? You might find life less boring in realising there are many around you much worse off than you are?
That sounds horrible oldspice, will no one else do any of the work?
Sadly, despite women's liberation, this is reality for many, many women who work during the week and try to catch up with domestic chores at the weekend. Often, the rest of the family are working at the weekend so cannot help. It's just modern life - we all work too hard.
The reality is that you do the housework becaue you are good at it.

That sounds like a very good idea. My family do very little to help as well but sometimes it's easier to just get on and do it rather than nagging at them the whole time.
Is that why painters are so boring?
Are they?

If you haven't met any painters what does this mean?

I bet you do what my mother does - a) refuse to ask for any help and then moan when you don't get any; b) when someone does help you moan that they're not 'doing it right/how I like it done'.
Indeed they do. Painters aren't boring!

Neither are people who go fishing.
This is turning into one boring thread.
I agree. Let's talk about the positive aspects of Sundays. I'll start us off:
This is turning into one boring thread.
I just realised this started as a boring thread with 623 moaning about Sundays.
Following on from oldspice. Sundays are good for me because:
I get a lie in.
I go for a nice long walk with my dog in the morning.
I get my lunch made for me either at my mams or my friends.
OK I'm feeling grumpy today and Sundays are NOT good for me because:
I have to catch up on all the housework
My boys monopolise the computer most of the day
My husband works all day except when he's playing cricket and I have to get up early to take him to work - no chance of a lie-in
Everybody else is doing nice family things.
On the upside of course, there is the Sunday evening pub quiz!
- Cooking Sunday Lunch
Well, this Sunday I managed to have the first of my 'relaxing not-working-too-hard Sundays. First i did some washing and pegged it on the line. Next I had a relaxing bath. Then i did some shopping (food). We then went for a meal and went on to watch Peterborough United go down by a penalty - the first match we have lost this season.
Tonight i am going to sweep and vaccum the floors downstairs and do some more washing then sit down to watch Corrie.
Hope you all had a nice day. It has been hot and sunny here but windy.
Man with a carrot up his bum whistling while watching TV at a bus stop next to his local kebab shop at 1:10 AM?
How clever. Thanks lou. It's a good job I didn't stay in bed with hubbie all day!
