it was an afternoon on the 25th of August, 2006...
an advert for Vanish stain remover came on my tv... and at the end it flashed up a holly leaf and encouraged me to clean my carpets this christmas.
this is officially the first xmas ad of 2006...
am i the only one who thinks there's a massive problem with this happening on August 25th?

Definitely not.
SHOOT THE f**kERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh dear too many cartoons for me again.
I have already started my Xmas pressie shopping
I have even got my Son's Birthday pressie... it's not til January!
Sad. I do sometimes buy cards and wrapping paper though!
I was trying to visualise what my xmas tree would look like in different areas of the room the other day(how sad is that!) we have moved the furniture around since last year.
Already planning december and who to visit when and what we will do.
When we have children to spend time with, my family to be with, my partners extended family which includes the fact he has a 'step' family aswell you can't be that spontanous or you would never fit everyone in.
i don'tthink there is anything wrong with buying Xmas gifts all year round but i don't want to see Xmas cards in the shops in August. Especially when I can't buy things I need for the summer!!
I struggle to get my nan a decent birthday card every year because the shops always cut back on them to fit the Christmas cards in. When is her birthday? October 23rd.
How annoying.
If you know there is a problem, just buy one before?

If I did that I wouldn't remember where I'd put it when the time came. Anyway, that's not the point - the point is it shouldn't be impossible to get a decent birthday card in October because of an event still two months away!
