Those of you who remember dear little Max will be sad to hear that he was killed by a car yesterday morning. We did not find out until today and have had to go to the council depot to retrieve him abd bury him in our garden.
A sad day to follow yesterday's happiness.
I'm so sorry, I remember the photo of him some time ago.
Oh well, one less cat means a few more birds.
However, don't worry Oldspice I'm sure he's in kitty heaven and eating a big piece of chocolate cake.
Oh well, one less cat means a few more birds.
How sensitive.
I do not like cats because they kill hundreds of thousands of birds every year.
I presume you're a vegetarian then?
No, why?
I'd have thought it was perfectly obvious.
It's obvious why you say it but I don't think it's logically obvious.
The domestic cat is not a wild animal, they do not kill for food. They have a major impact on wild bird populations.
Oh well, one less cat means a few more birds.
That's not nice to say. Maybe you don't like cats but I don't like birds. All they do is sh*t on windows.
Cats don't have the intelligence to make a moral decision - they kill birds because that is in their nature. You could turn vegetarian and save the lives of thousands of chickens, ducks etc. Just think how many birds have been killed to feed you for 40 years.
Probably a few hundred, maybe a thousand. But they were bred to be food. I don't moralise on the ethics of eating animals, my concerns are the ecology of the countryside. Our countryside including our gardens.
Thanks for your thoughts everyone. Max is now at peace.
623 are you applauding me or Smurfboy?

Sorry you had to see all this arguing Oldspice
