It never ceases to amaze me just how many completely talentless people really think they can sing, and will go on TV to prove how tragically wrong they are!

Most of the X Factor/Pop Idol/Popstars winners were all talentless and have now disappeared from the music scene. Michelle who? Gareth what?

Gareth Gates didn't actually win, lest we forget. But that's not to say I disagree with Kevvosa's point; where is Steve Brookstein these days, par example?

Can't stand these shows it's like watching karaoke

Don't like any reality shows either like Big Brother. Have to admit I have been a bit sad and been watching Love Island, don't know why must be a moment of madness

I saw about 10 minutes of the X Factor and will catch the rest on ITV 2 later tonight.

The worst two were the guy singing You raise me up and the bloke who announced "I've got someting special to give" and then left the panel speechless with his song and dance routine of All Night Long.

What about that big foreign woman in the X factor jacket who sang Like A Prayer and tried to follow it with I Have A Dream. She would SCARE an audience stiff!

Simon is quite right to tell people straight when they are that bad. It's cruel to dress it up and feed their illusion that they have talent. Some of them are barking mad.

It's the Scottish vote. A lot of Scots will vote for any act from north of the border purely out of patriotism - look at Michelle MacManus. Also I think the McDullards are getting a lot of sympathy votes from people who buy into this 'Simon Cowell is the big bad wolf' rubbish.

I received my phone bill today. When I voted for Robert at 7.30pm on 21 October the call cost 42p. When I voted on 28 October at a similar time the call cost 68p.  What's that all about?

Perhaps (rather than lining Simon Cowell's pockets with vote money) it's better to watch and vote on Strictly Come Dancing instead, at least some of their money goes to Children in Need.

I think Ben would be more of a 'singer songwriter' type along the lines of Elton John rather than a pop singer.

As for Eton Road yes they're entertaining and I think that if they practise a bit they'll become a propper boyband. Ie. the ones who can't sing will just become backing vocalists

I thought the result was fair. The McDonalds are Ok but boring. When they sang Sang-a-lang I could hear the nails being driven into their coffins.

Ray, although a bit cheesy, is a terrific little singer. He looks like one of those teenage singers from 1950s America like Bobby Vee or Bobby Vinton. Again, he is not very original.

Leona has a superb voice and I am sure she will win. She is totally what the public love. For me she is not original enough but I think she has a wonderful voice.
