Title: Humdinger Fruit crisps
Post by: on August 19, 2006, 10:41:56 pm

Bought these today for 99p in Tesco.

Actually very nice. Crispy and fruity with a hint of savouryness (word?). I had the exotic mix and they were all nice. 8/10.

It would have to be savouriness - you would have to use the same spelling rule as happy - happiness.

The OED didn't actually list it at all, so I assumed I had made it up!

Yes, you probably have made it up. That's the beauty of language - you can invent words and still follow the conventions of spelling and grammar. Tolkein did it in Lord of the Rings and so did Lewis Caroll in Jaberwocky.

I do always say to my boys that you should try eating everything once to form an opinion of it. Respect others but have your own.

Don't I sound smug!?

I wouldn't have went for them ordinarily. I was bedazzled by the packaging (shallow I know) and found them to be pleasant against my expectations.

I've never hitten myself over the head with a hammer, but I think I can pretty safely say it would be painful.
