Now I have my passport the world is my oyster so we have booked a short break to Brussels on the Eurostar. Have any of you been, and if so can you suggest any places to go / avoid. I have been before, but it was back in my school days and can't remember that much.
-
i haven't been but I know people who have and they say it's great for architecture, art and chocolate.
-
Well, one out of three isn't bad I guess!
-
Don't you like art and architecture easterbunny?
-
Actually I don't mind art, but my husband bores me to tears with acrhitecture. I like modern stuff he likes ruins!
-
Do they eat lots of sprouts in Brussels?
-
-
Baby ones are ok but those big ones are vile. I only ever have them on Christmas day and I refuse to have more than 5 on my plate.
-
I've no idea why people feel obliged to have sprouts at Christmas even when they don't like them!

It's tradition.
-
that what i ment
-
I love sprouts. I have them a lot, not just at Christmas.
-
You need to have dinner with my mam bounty. She has sprouts atleast twice a week.
-
I don't have them that often but probs once a week. I also like broccoli and cauliflower.
-
You definitely need to eat with my mother.
Next you will be saying you like broad beans.

I don't believe in tradition. Just doing things because they've always been done is a waste of time.
-
Do you clean your teeth every morning?
-
Yes but that isn't tradition - it's good dental hygiene.
-
flushing is aswel but most ppl wont do that

Easterbunny, I have been to Brussels on the Eurostar. I'm sorry I can't recommend it, the chocolate is very expensive (exactly the same chocolate is available at all the same shops next door in the Netherlands at half the price) and everyone speaks French!
