With the news that Bath has its spa back after many years and is expecting a new influx of tourists, what is everyone's favourite town or city in the UK and why? The must-see list for all Americans seems to be London, Stratford and Bath so I'm sure they will be happy that there will be more to do and see at the Roman Baths.
I think my personal favourite is York.
My favourites are....
York
Weston Super Mare
Canterbury
Chester
Liverpool.
gonna have to sing up Weymouth here. the perfect seaside town, without all the disappointment of Blackpool. HATE london.
I went to WEymouth for my holidays this year, I thought it was nice. But I have also been to Prestatyn and adored it.
weymouth - gr8 place! nice to hear you enjoyed it!
Weymouth is indeed lovely. hada great holiday there 30 years ago. Is there still a railway line running along the sea front??
the railway 'lines' are all still there, but a train hasnt run there in around 20 years or so. though there is new talk of a tram being added.
Rye in East Sussex is probably one of my favourite places, made nicer by watching the world go by as you eat local caught fish from outdoor cafe :)
My favourite city is Rome. If in the UK then probably St. David's.
My favourite town Penzance.
