You are meeting someone at 7pm. 7pm comes around and they haven't arrived. How long do you wait before phoning them to see where they are?
I wouldn't phone until at least quarter past, but my dad and at least one of my other friends would be on the blower at 7.02.

For me, quarter past.

If I was meeting BK i would ring at 6.30 to make sure he was on his way.

This happens to me regularly as my husband's family are never on time. They are usually 20-30mins late but it's not unusual for them to be an hour or two late. A whole car load of them missed our wedding and arrived in time for the photos. Last year his dad and stepmum were an hour late for a family celebration and his brother was over two hours late.
-
That's ridiculous oldspice. You should tell them if they are not on time, they are not welcome. I hate it when people keep you waiting. If there's good reason, fair enough, but some people take the piss.
-
I'm used to it now. Mind you, we daren't be late for one oftheir events. They DO get on the phone after about two minutes!

I wouldn't phone until about 7.30. I don't mind people being late just for a social evening at home but it really winds me up when they're late and you have to be somewhere at an appointed time - especially when you've agreed to give them a lift and they're not ready.
-
I wouldn't ring, I would text at quarter past, if I didn't get a reply I would assume they weren't coming.

And you would find me there waiting!

That's the sort of thing that annoys me. I have one friend who is never on time and I actually allow for it now - I never arrive at the appointed time as I know I'll be sat there alone for at least half an hour. But of course, on the three or so occasions in the six years I've known him he has arrived before me, he's been on the phone demanding to know why I'm late!
