We didn't get any snow either - but boy was it cold when I sat through 60 minutes of football at Peterborough United on Boxing Day. And we lost!

We had lovely thick snow in Liverpool.  I don't like snow because it is cold.

Question.  It snows overnight.  The temperature remains at 0 degrees, there's no sunshine and it doesn't snow again.  What happens to the snow already on the ground after n hours?  This is not a trick question.

I don't care.  I just want some snow - proper snow that you can build snowmen with.  My eldest son is 16 and he's never seen that!  The most we ever get on the south coast these days is a few flakes and I feel deprived.

There are many types of snow.  The most common types are type A and Type C.  Type A is the sort of wet stuff that is a bit like the slush you make those fruity drinks out of and just collapses in your hand and is no good for making a snow person. Type B is dry snow and makes excellent snowpeople.
