The Dragonfly
The beauty of nature, to our eyes a spell cast –
the ephemeral and flimsy, a miracle to the last.
The shimmering wings the delicate shell,
the eyes a myriad on a lithe Demoiselle.
A life in two worlds a watery birth,
such a short time to live, then fall down to earth.
