Title: Carr’s Table Water biscuits
Post by: on July 14, 2006, 08:56:20 pm

I am an old snob but I do like these with a nice piece of cheese. Much better than Jacob's cream crackers.

Carr’s Table Water crackers celebrates its 175th anniversary this year and is marking the event with a relaunch, an on-pack promotion and advertising in the women’s press.
The promotion links with Hardy’s Nottage Hill wines – collect a 50p-off voucher with every pack of crackers

I do like the table water myself as they provide a nice crumbly platform for the cheese with competing with the flavour.  Nice one Carr's and a happy anniversary!

I prefer the triangles and for some strange reason I think they taste better than the dairylea from the tub even though it's the same.

no, you are right - theres something about them being crafted into triangles which makes them taste better. (bit like easter eggs - they taste so much better than traditionally shaped chocolate.)

I like Cornish Wafers with Boursin which causes some debat in our house as the general concensus is cheese must be on something crispy rather than crumbly.  Brown bread wouldn't get a look in unless toasted.

Which cheese do you all like best?  For me it's Lancashire.

Brie, Port Salut or Boursin for me, cheddar if toasted, with onions yum!

A little Danish Blue or Cheshire is nice too especially with some South African Merlot.
