I prefer Coke and like GC, I would rather go without than drink diet. I like the Diet Cherry Coke though.
On cheapo alternatives, I bought a 21p bottle from Sainsburys the other week and it tasted like drain cleaner.

Yes like sulphuric acid is better for your skin than hydrochloric acid!
It's the phosphoric acid in the drinks that does the real damage.
You shouldn't brush teeth for at least half an hour after drinking either as the acid softens tooth enamel.
