Title: The joke that is Nestle
Post by: kevvosa on June 11, 2006, 11:03:52 am
From the pound shop I bought a large tub of Pizazz chocolates yesterday. On the back of the pack it starts off by saying:

"Chocolate is an all-consuming passion of ours. It occupies our waking moments and dreams..."

If the chocolates are anything to go by, Nestle's passion must have consumed them by now because they are very bland. The only one I really like is the white chocolate & rasberry one.

Raspberry

They are by and large the nadir of British chocolate.

I cannot and would not defend any multi national and its actions. Nestle do have a bad record in the third world.

All I would say is are Cadbury Schweppes that much better?

Neither can grandstand when it comes to ethics or quality of chocolate.

I do agree about Pizazz though.  Sickly and bland sums them up for me.

I'm not a fan of boxes of chocolates generally. You have to take the rough with the smooth. I'd rather buy a bar of something I know I like all of.

Even my favourite, Mingles have white choc and mint.

Pizazz chocolates are horrible. Nestle do have a bad reputation in the third world and it does involve baby formula and their drive to urge mothers to feed children on formula milk even though many of them have no source of clean water.

It amazes me that Nestle still manage to make profit considering the quality of their "chocolate".

That would explain why they're considering selling that arm of the business.

In that case you need to be locked in a padded room for your own safety.
