Title: EastEnders or Corrie?
Post by: oldspice on May 19, 2006, 09:12:10 pm

We may have done this before but - which one gets your vote?

Mine goes to Corrie for its humour.

Yes definitely Corrie. Jack and Vera , Kirk, Norris ,Cilla and Les all add humour but Eastenders is so depressing and with the return of the Mitchells it's all getting silly.

Corrie without a doubt. I think Corrie has always been my number one, but in the past it's always been very close, whereas now there's no contest. Eastenders has never really recovered from the very bad patch it went through about two or three years back. The worst thing is when they feel the need to do a gangster storyline every few months.

What about Emmerdale. That can be quite funny too.

I like Emmerdale. It has been a bit silly this week though, with all the drama over 'will Katie's horse live?' She only bought it about a week ago!

I hate both, but if I had to choose I would say Corrie. Even though I never watch it.

That will be a bit strange for her as she'll be working with her ex-husband! Mind you, George and Alana Hamilton managed it...

Indeed. From the BBC website:

From August, the 69-year-old will play Aunty Caroline, who arrives to help her niece Honey Edwards prepare to marry Billy Mitchell.

Honey's father in the long-running show is played by actor Nicky Henson, who was married to Stubbs for six years.

The couple have two sons and divorced in 1975, but have stayed friends.

Has anyone been watching Coronation Street Secrets? They were talking yesterday about why they got rid of Warren Jackson (the original Nick Tilsley). One of the scriptwriters was saying 'he wasn't a trained actor, and we needed someone who could carry dramatic scenes. We need an actor'.

Just in case anyone's forgotten, they cast Adam Rickitt in the part.

Adam Rickitt is a terrible actor. He's given acting up to take up politics. It seems he has been placed on a 'young tories' hotlist and will be shipped into a safe tory seat at the next election.

Little difference between the two if most Tories are anything to go by...

I wish he did mine but not as much as I'd like Trevor Sorbie to do it.

Sweeney Todd could do my hair and make a better job of it than I do!
