Title: Cadbury’s Avant Garde
Post by: smurfboy on May 07, 2006, 09:03:39 pm

In response to criticisms that their range lacks variation, Cadbury will launch Avant Garde, a selection of exotic soft centres, in June along with a major advertising push throughout Summer. Flavours are set to include quince cream, apple and walnut wonder, goats cheese and rocket parfait and dung beetle surprise.

'Cadbury are keen to listen to the concerns of our customers', said spokeswoman May Dupp. 'If exotic flavours are what consumers want, Avant Garde are guaranteed not to disappoint'.

Nah, nah. I've heard they're calling it CDM with dung beetle.

Oh wait, isn't that Bournville?

I've never actually had quince, what's it like?

Well, you wouldn't eat it raw. It is best lightly poached. It's an ancient fruit and is like a cross between an apple and a pear. The flesh is slightly pink and has a subtle sweetness but the 'grittyness' of a pear.

I have not seen one for years and years.
