Title: Winter food

What really warms you up when it's cold outside? Mine favourite would have to be a huge bowl of old-fashioned stew with minced beef (but not too much of it), parsnips, turnips, celery, carrots, tons of onions, butter beans, pearl barley and good dumplings.

Muligatawney soup or a good hot vindaloo curry with plenty of pappodums and mango chutney.

I make a good vegetable stew and dumplings; proper winter food.
