Title: Phlegm
Post by: kevvosa on March 17, 2006, 05:32:17 pm
Does anyone know any ways to get rid of phlegm? I had a cold a few months back and am still coughing up phlegm. It's horrible. But it never seems to go away.

Go to an alternative health shop, Holland and Barrett for example. They sell some tablets which get rid of it.

Also avoid dairy products for a while as they make it worse.

Lemoneye, why do you continually criticise the spelling in 623's posts when you know he is dyslexic - but have a go at me for pointing out errors in your girlfriend's posts?

623 does not display similar symptoms of dyslexia to those of genuine sufferers that i KNOW.

PS - I don't care what you think.

So now you're saying 623 is faking it? Well come on, let's hear your theory...

I do not remember saying that...

Plus I do not care to share my theories. I simply do not care at all.

This forum was supposed to be fun and indeed it used to be. What gets said here is of little consequence to me.

Well I AM qualified to assess dyslexia and I can tell you that 623 has classic and quite servere dyslexia. If you are interested I could even tell whether his problems are predominantly audio or visual in origin.

P.S. STILL no explanation of why it's okay to criticise one person's spelling and not another.

Then perhaps YOU will offer one?

I have NEVER critised anyones spelling, unlike yourself. Often, i do not understand what 623 says because the words typed are so far removed from the real spelling.

Your spelling snobbery is merely pedantic.

It is not. Perhaps now you will explain why you are on at me about correction?

I wouldn't care if you complained about 623's spelling, but you've had a go at me for knocking Babygirl's. So is the rule 'open season unless you're shagging another forum member'?

For someone who repeatedly refers to his own intelligence and education (when i was at uni.. etc etc etc ad nauseum) sometimes you really do sound narrow minded and stupid.

I have NOT AT ANY TIME knocked ANYONES spelling. You however have. And refused to notice numerous spelling mistakes by the likes of LouLou and ChocolateChick.

Where's my numerous spelling mistakes?
Title: Phlegm
Post by: smurfboy on March 20, 2006, 10:31:19 pm

I was at university for four and a half years. Am I supposed to ignore a significant period of my life in case you mistake that for me making claims about my 'level of intelligence'? I got made redundant recently - should I get offended if someone discusses something that happens at work? Should I assume they're trying to rub it in that they've got a job?

I haven't 'refused' to notice mistakes by others either. I'm not employed by the forum as a proofreader, anyone can make the odd typo. On the other hand if an entire post doesn't make sense I may choose to say something. I thought you and the missus were all for freedom of speech...

I am on the other hand so intelligent and display such a degree of smugness and a high level of knowitallness that I can criticise 623's spelling with impunity in the knowledge it will get passed of as either:

1. It's only Bounty, he's always like that.

2. Oh there's Bounty criticising 623's spelling in that awfully clever post-modern way of his
