Post by: wjp666 on March 16, 2006, 06:15:03 pm

what petty annoyances make you want to KILL? just curious...

today i went bowling (ten-pin) and in the lane next to me there were 3 older teenagers playing with the child-bars up! (if you didnt know, thats when railings are erected in the gutter to stop the ball going down... it simply bounces off and is gauranteed to hit the pins.) and every time they knocked the pins down, they cheered. really, what the f**ks that all about? this genuinely almost drove me to a triple-murder.

on second thoughts, what the f**k are 'kids' bowling with the use of these bars for anyway? i mean, isnt it like playing snooker with your hands? if you cant hit the pins, youre too young to play. so wait till your older! stop the cheating!

GRRRRRRRRR!

I have a whole list of things that make me want to go on a murder spree but the main one is if someone touches my feet it really does make me lash out...strange i know!!

I have absolutely loads so will probably keep popping back into this thread as I think of more! My first one is people who can't spell 'definitely'. For some reason people come up with millions of spelling of this word; definately, definitley, defanately, definitly, defanitely... every one except the real one!  Normally the same people who type 'should of', 'could of' etc...

I also get the murder feeling when people treat others differently or make fun because they may not be as intelligent as them or they don't like the same thing as them etc.... it's very shallow and upsetting

Surely if someone likes different things to you, thinks differently to you, acts differently to you, you treat them differently to people who like the same things as you, has the same opinions of you etc.? Isn't that how we decide who we do and don't like in this life? That's not shallow - that's life!

Example...Noty fact just an example...

I like red hair

Joe bloggs doesnt...

I would not argue his opinion or poke fun at him because opinions vary

Joe bloggs cant spell actually...

I would never make fun of  that or make any snide remarks...

I treat everyone as equals, how it should be.

I make my mind up if i dont like someone based on if there sl*gging me off, or making fun of me for no apparent reason, i dont make up my mind if i dont like someone based on there difference of opinion!! i accept it and respect it and if there is a discussion and there is a difference of opinion then so be it everyone is entitled to it!!

Well that's different - disliking someone because of their hair colour (or of course skin colour) is just plain old prejudice, and that makes me mad too.

OK I know I've said this one before but it was a long time ago - something that annoys me is people who pronounce the letter H as Haitch.  It's Aitch Aitch Aitch!

Another one getting me at the mo (see, I told you I'd think of more!) is people who use the word 'random' to describe anything they dislike or think is odd. THAT'S NOT WHAT IT MEANS! It used to be just teenagers and the kind of people who like say 'like' in like every sentence, you know?, but now people I'd assumed had a brain cell are doing it! The other day I heard Judy Finnigan say 'oh, that's just so random' when she heard a Lib Dem MP was appearing in 'The Games' on Channel 4. Er, no it isn't! It's not random at all - it's the exact opposite, she was picked precisely because of who she is, not randomly! Okay, I know she has been presenting a fluffy daytime show for years, but she was trained as a journalist; surely she should know what basic words mean?

I remember when a similar thread was going before, I mentioned that 'nurse speak' drives me mad with their slipping and popping, as in "just slip on the gown and pop on the couch."

Well it's got worse.  A few days ago I was buying something on credit card and was instructed to "slip in your card and pop in your PIN."

Arghhhhhhhhhhh!

1) Over use of the word "Whatever" - especially when it is clear that the person in question lacks the intelligence to construct a complete sentence

2) Tings like dis n dat innit - Good grief! We are not starring in a semi literate gangster rap video (well i hope not)

Yes why do they think it's safer for each of them to drive their kid to school in a 4x4? They are creating more traffic and congestion.

There are lots of things about driving which fill me with rage. The main stretch of road around my town has a 60mph speed limit. I always seem to be stuck behind someone doing 30mph who then continues to do 30mph when they turn off onto the estate which has a 20mph speed limit.

Just because peoples opinions vary it don't mean they were banging on i thought it was a discussion??

And that is why your post on the weekend thread didn't make sense!!

Because you were saying about people arguing?

Who was arguing we were simply discussing!{or so i thought}
