That's a slight exaggeration.  What about freshly cut grass or hearing the first cuckoo?

Both well and good in their place but I don't think they quite hit the spot when starving and suffering from PMT!

Have you ever heard such pretentious twaddle in your life? APART from on Bounty's other posts...

Freshly cut grass makes me sneeze and cuckoos give me a headache so there's just no competition is there?

I love the new lemon and lime Jaffa Cakes more than the regular ones. They have a lovely tang to them.

White choc Jaffas with strawberry filling sounds lush! They could call them strawberries and cream flavour.

Don't expect a decent Pims substitute Smurfy. I had a right good sniff at a box the other day for traces of almond/marzipan.

There is no substitute for Pims biscuits, sadly...

Just tried them and they're not bad at all. Okay, the chocolate isn't the best quality, but the cakey bit is quite nice. as is the filling - and at 69p for two packets, you can't really knock it!

If I were asked 'what would you rather do, eat a box of Jaffa Cakes or listen to a cuckoo' i am afraid I'd pick the Jaffa Cakes. Shallow I know but there you are.

Let us know how they are Cherry.

Does anyone dunk their Jaffas? Personally I like mine with a glass of milk, no dunking.

Post by: smurfboy on March 20, 2006, 03:35:21 pm
I don't think Jaffas are suited to dunking.

Whereas shortbread fingers are made for dunking!

I eat a few jaffa cakes with a cup of tea but no, I don't dunk jaffa cakes ... wouldn't they go too soggy?

I don't think I have ever tried. I couldn't imagine it going very well. Lou might have tried it at some stage.

Walkers Shortbread is very good. A lot of shops up here in London sell that selection.

A few years ago I went to Disneyland Paris and even they sold a Walkers shortbread selection (allbeit in a Mickey Mouse tin). The biscuits were in the shape of Mickey Mouse ears.

Have you tried dunking biscuits in a glass of cartoned orange juice? I recommend plain choc digestives for that purpose.

I like pink wafers dipped in orange juice.

I dont think jaffas are suited to dunking. But Fox's caramel shortbreads are - yum yum!

You used to be able to get Smurf shortbread from Tesco - it was yum (and cute!)

I meant pure orange juice from a carton. But Fanta is an interesting idea, I wonder if the bubbles would make a difference...
