I can play the triangles, but I would like to play a viol, viola, violin, cello, double bass, coranglais, bassoon, clarinet, bass clarinet, oboe, flute, piccolo, French horn, euphonium, sousaphone, tuba, trumpet and trombone.

I can play cello, piano, violin, drum kit, timpani, snare drum and all other percussion including the triangle which is actually quite hard to play well.  I can't blow a trumpet (my own or anybody else's) and would like to play saxophone or sousaphone.

Is that a euphonium or something?

It's a Sousaphone - invented by Sousa for use in his famous marches (like the Monty Python theme).  And yes, I believe they are very heavy but I've always wanted to play one ever since I was a kid and my big sister's boyfriend played one in a band!  I've never actually tried but I'm sure I wouldn't even get a note out of it.

What does a euphonium look like then? Are they similar?

Is a euphonium bigger than a tuba?

I am no authority on this (brass band territory) but there are different sized and pitched euphoniums and I think the biggest one (presumably a bass?) looks pretty much like a tuba.

I thought it was an alternative to a rude word

I think euphonium is a wonderful word.
