Right, this has been annoying me all day. Here's a 'riddle' for you...
read this sentence...
FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE-
SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIF-
IC STUDY COMBINED WITH
THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS.
Now count the F's in that sentence.
Count them ONLY ONCE!
Then see below...

ANSWER:
Don't ask me how this works, but there are six F's in the sentence.
A person of average intelligence finds three of them.
If you spotted four, you're above average.
If you got five, you can turn your nose at most anybody.
If you caught six, you are a genius.
Take another look.
FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE-
SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIF-
IC STUDY COMBINED WITH
THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS.
Well, it gave me a headache.
See if you can solve this...
A man is approaching the middle of a field. He knows that when he gets there, he'll die. He's perfectly healthy. Nothing in the field can harm him. There's no one in the field who wants to harm him. Yet he knows for sure that he'll die when he reaches the middle. How does he know this?
OK WORK OUT THIS RIDDLE:
FRIENDS AND FAMILY I HAVE NONE
MY FATHERS DAD IS MY MY MUM
WHO AM I ?
(sroll down for answer)
623058
How did Fred die?
He lies dead on the floor surrounded by water and broken glass. A table stands not far from him; next to it is a chair that has been knocked over.
Apart from this the room is bear no one else was involved.
The door to the room is open as is the window next to the table. How did he die?
Did he commit suicide by stabbing himself with a sharpened icicle?
He got so bored of Easter Egg and Chocolate Monster that he threw his PC out of the window, then smashed a bottle of water and stabbed himself with the glass becuase he realised he'd wasted two grand at PC World.
Cherry, did your teacher write it on the blackboard ?
Erm, no
Okay, here's another - it's probably easy now, but when I first heard this as a child no one ever got it right...
A man is driving his son to a football match. Another car pulls out in front of them, the man swerves to avoid it, and crashes into a tree. He's okay but his son is badly injured. He takes him to casualty, saying 'please look after my son'.
When he's taken to theatre, the surgeon looks at the patient and says 'I can't operate on this patient - he's my son'. Neither the driver or the surgeon is lying. The boy is not adopted, nor does he have a stepfather. How can this be?
Wrong.
Correct!
As I say, not so difficult now, but at one time no one even thought of the mother. The always assumed the surgeon was a man.
I got 6! Same thing though, I am aware that people tend to skim the short words. But I honestly did count them up right first time.
The same goes for me.
this is a fave of mine... stare at this image (namely the four vertical dblack dots near the middle) for 45 seconds. then look at a blank wall or cielling... then blink fairly fast. IT'LL MAKE A BELIEVER OUT OF YOU!
