Title: SERIOUS ISSUE
Post by: EASTEREGG on February 15, 2006, 03:49:47 pm

SHOULD EASTER EGGS BE AN ALL YEAR ROUND EVENT?

IMAGINE THE SITUATION ...

ITS CHRISTMAS TIME. NO IDEA WHAT TO GET AS PRESENT. YOU SEE EASTER EGG AND NOW HAVE IDEA.

In the Netherlands they have chocolate alphabet letters which are given around Christmas ... they are big, thick, quality chocolate. I buy them for my family every Christmas.

Surely the point of Easter Eggs is that you eat them at Easter? If they are just all round Chocolate Eggs, why choose that as a birthday/Christmas pressie rather than a box of chocolates?

OK I JUST WENT TO VISIT MY LOCAL TESCO TO ASK WHY NO EASTER EGGS ALL YEAR ROUND.

I FIND THE MANAGER AND ASK "WILL YOU BE SELLING EASTER EGGS ALL YEAR" MANAGER SAY "WHY?"

I TELL HIM "EASTER EGGS ARE NICEST CHOCOLATE AND THEY ARE BEST SELLERS, IT MAKE COMMERCIAL SENSE TO STOCK THEM ALL TIMES OF YEAR"

TESCO MANAGER SAY "NO...SECURITY WILL ESCORT YOU OUT" HE ALSO SAY "AND MR SINGH PLEASE SEND NO MORE LETTERS ASKING FOR EASTER EGGS IN DECEMBER"

Methinks Mr Easter Egg is a) a bit barmy; b) someone's alter ego or c) both...

They are good sellers at EASTER because they are called EASTER EGGS and you can only buy them at EASTER. If they were an all year round thing people would get bored of them therefore they would not be good sellers.

Just like we only have selection boxes at Christmas.

Easter eggs are in Sainsburys from 1st January. April is in Easter. Just how long do you need them to be out for ?
