A Milky Way. I haven't had one for years. Still on a diet.
-
I wouldn't bother -they're not nearly as nice as they used to be!
-
That's right they're horrid now. I used to love Super Moose
-
I'll start this argument again.......
Try a Flyte. It is an OLD Milky Way.
Oh yes it is............
-
Oh not it's not! You're not old enough to tell!
-
-
i wanna a areo caramel
-
I still like Milky Way.
-
Oldspice...if you fancy a Milky Way buy the half bar variety. You get a taste then but you only eat the one portion.
-
Iwanna areo caramel
-
Flytes are NOT old Milky Ways - they are just plain putrid!
-
Oh yes they are. Go ask Masterfoods.
-
But surely old Milky Ways were nice? Are they a low fat - and hence low taste - variation on the theme?
-
Well in that case my taste buds must have changed in my old age
They are admittedly similar but I don't think they are the same. Masterfoods will tell you anything!
-
They do taste very simalar
-
Sorry Smurfboy our last posts crossed - I think you're right, they're some kind of lower fat version of the real thing.

I agree with you paul they are the old Milky Way. I used to love Milky Ways until they changed them, Flyte just taste like the old Milky Way
-
Andrew, I can see you going far in the world!
-
Nah flyte is not as nice as milky way.
-
Have you tried a 'wild and whippy' from Tesco? They are a similar sort of bar.
Haven't eaten a Flyte or a Milky Way for years so not sure how they compare.
-
Milky Way taste a bit cheap these days. The filling used to be light and chocolate/malty but now it's a dirty colour and tastes a bit stale.
Flyte is nicer.
-
I honestly believe that a Flyte IS the old Milky Way.
Getting Mars to speak to you, never mind reply to a specific question is all but impossible.
-
Bring back Supermousse!
-

Brilliant idea. They were FAB.
-
Yes, here here.
-
Does anyone know the reason for them changing the old Milky Ways. Flytes are not nearly as nice
-
Nope. They just changed them.
Like why did they call Marathons Snickers? Why did they get rid of Opal Mints/Pacers? Why did they call Opal Fruits Starburst?
Don't get me started!!
-
At least changing the name of Marathon/Opal Fruits makes sense in a way (not that I agree with it!) - completely changing the recipe of a bar seems very strange.
-
DID THEY?!
-
Why did they call Opal Fruits Starburst?
I heard it was something to do with European legislation as the sweets did not actually contain opals
Probably it was more like the company wanting to save money by having the same name for the product globally so they could run the same adverts worldwide
-
It's a globalisation thing. As Cherry says, it's cheaper to use the same branding worldwide - plus Americans don't come over now and say 'oh my gaaawwd, what are Opal Fruits? I like totally wanted some Starburst and a Snickers, but all I can find is this Marathon bar. Like oh my gaawwd'.
-
All generalisations are false including this one.

Not all Americans are valley girls or Texans
-
My friend in Dallas, originally from Ohio gets me to send her Cadburys fruit and nut, chocolate buttons and Thorntons. She says the choc there is horrid compared to ours. She speaks completely different to my friend in Wyoming and neither of them say oh my gaawwd.
-
They do it in private when you're not around.
-
Probably. I have to speak real slow cos they can't understand me. Then again people in the south can't understand me, a bit like poor Terry from Hells kitchen.
