What were your fave crisps as a kid? I fondly remember most crisps brands. I used to love Hula Hoops, Skips and Monster Munch. Then at highschool I got hooked on wheat crunchies.
I was never too keen on Quavers though. Anyone remember when they did the 'square Hula Hoop' competition?
-
I did not eat many crisps as a child but for a treat i would have chosen Golden Wonder Smokey Bacon. As a teenager I lived Chipettos which were like Wotsits. I also loved Potato Puffs which were a cheap brand but lovely.
-
Walkers ready salted. I also remember something called Kung Fus, which were nice.
-
Piglets! I still love Hula Hoops though - who said they were for kids?
-
I love wheat crunchies, bacon or worcester sauce, and monster munch in pickled onion or beef flavour. Also used to quite like chipsticks... like little matchsticks
-
They've stopped making Worcester Sauce Wheat Crunchies though.
-
I like Walker's french Fries. I love Chipsticks too.

My friend who comes from Darlington originally always says there's nothing to match Tudor crisps. I don't think we ever got those down south. Doesn't anyone remember Piglets?
-
Ah, somebody does!
Quote:
Piglets were 3D potato snacks - they were shaped like little piglets and were pickled onion flavoured.
-
What's the point in them being pickled onion flavour?
I didn't like Fish-n-chips.
I like Tomato Quavers when I can get them.
-
Oh yes tangy toms I used to love them too and I had forgotten about Nik Naks aswell - loved the cream and cheesy flavour.
Anyone remember Frazzels? Do they still make them?
-
Mmm, Frazzles
I think you can still get them - if not, Marks do a nice version called Rashers. And how could we forget the classic Scampi Fries?

Do you remember the M&S snacks which were puffy like Wotsits but round and they were hamburger flavour? I don't know if they still make them but they were gorgeous. They had a red and blue, stars and stripes type packet.
-
That sounds familiar. I think they have gone to the great crisps bowl in the sky now though.
-
They do sound kinda famililar.
I remember Mr Men and Little Miss Crisps from Safeway. One of those was chicken burger flavour

After extensive internet research, the old snacks I remember which were in the shape of Shreddies but they were chicken flavour were called WICKERS. OK now I can do some proper work...
