Title: Hair extensions

Has anyone ever seen somebody who actually looks nice with these? There was a girl across from me on the tram today and you could see the join in her 'hair'. Even celebrities who spend thousands on them end up looking naff.

I think they are generally wrong. They end up looking nasty!

I had some a year or so ago they look good for about2 weeks then they get straggly

i think they can look really good if they are fresh and looked after well. They actually look better on black people I think. When they get scruffy they look trampy.

Dreadlocked or curly ones look better - it makes the shorter layers less obvious.

I've never had extensions but Chantelle who won BB had them and they were disastrous. Beautiful week one but by week two all raggy.

A friend of mine at work has hair extensions so that her hair is alternately short and long all the way round.  I think they look really good on her.  I tend to agree with Oldspice that they usually look better on black people, perhaps because their hair texture is different?

My work colleague who is black has all kinds of things done to her hair. They don't need to wash there hair like we do ours so it looks nicer for longer. She gets it changed every 6 weeks.

I once dyed my hair purple. It was supposed to wash out but I discovered my hair is very porous and of course it did not wash out - it just faded to rhubarb colour. So I had to grow it out!

I put a brand new pair of fishnets on yesterday (first time in ages) and they promptly split at the crutch.  Now I remember why I hate tights!

They don't last long do they? I find I wear them once, wash them but end up throwing them away because I always find tiny holes around the shoe bit when I try them on again.
