Title: Lily O’ Briens Sticky Toffee chocolates
Post by: kevvosa on January 25, 2006, 08:29:03 pm

Have seen these in Woolworths:

They look scrummy! Found some info from http://www.lilyobriens.ie/details.php?itemID=FLOB5577 about them:

"Individually wrapped Sticky Toffee caramels smothered in milk and dark
chocolate. Winner of the 'Most Delicious Lily O'Brien's Chocolate
Recipe' among Lily O'Brien's staff and chocolate fans alike for the
past 13 years

Indulgent delights, sticky toffee has a creamy, smooth texture filled
with a generous helping of sumptuous caramel...a full blown caramel
experience!"

They do eggs too; my mom brought me one for Christmas (as you do!)

They cost 1.99 and they have others in the range too. Also I see Woolies have started selling Cote D'or bars of chocolate and even large bars of Guylian chocolate.

Is it Lily O'Briens who produces the range of delicious truffle lollies?

I believe it is, yes. They also do an assorted box of chocolates for around £6.

Ooh that reminds me, they also sell Lily O'Briens bags of crumbly fudge
in Woolies aswell as toffees coated in milk, white and dark choc.
They're in hanging bags.

Tried the sticky toffee chocs today - gorgeous! Theyre chocolates with
a rich caramel centre with milk choc on the bottom and dark choc on
top. The only problem is that there were only 7 in a box, not
enough

I found the Lily O'Briens lollipops at the newsagent (they were on special offer) and I didn't think much of them. Turns out they are made by Kinnerton, the people who do those 99p advent calendar chocolates!

I didn't like the huge lumps of biscuit in them.

There are different ones, I think the others are smoother

I tried the berry one with white chocolate and the caramel biscuit crunch. Yes, I expected bits of biscuit but not huge like that.

I thought the M&S lollipop chocolate was nicer (although Kinnerton also make the chocolate one for M&S)

I have tried the M&S ones yet.

I think the caramel biscuit ones have been my favourite so far
