Yay! Let's hope it's a proper cartoon and not some CGI thing.

I liked Bananaman and Superted. Dangermouse was good too. Oh but my favourites had to be the Family Ness

I loved Family Ness! "You can rock it, you can roll it, you can go to Timbuktoo, but you'll never find a Nessie in the zoo"

I liked Bananaman too, that was one of my fav's.

I would have loved Smurfy sheets, but sadly it was not to be

Still, I got a new Smurf keyring yesterday so I'm very happy!

I can't think of the name of it but it was like a crying clown. Only she wasn't really a clown, she had white skin and dark hair. I hope you know ehat I am talking about! I also had forever friends.

Does anyone remember Ovide Video? I think he was an ostrich... I remember once at uni I was jsut humming the theme tune away to myself, and at the end my friend just sang 'that's why they call him Ovide Video!' Bizarre moment.

Yes, wasn't there just an egg with legs?

Remember the new Schmoo?

That's right! Very odd, but cute.

Does anyone remember Mr Rossi? He was a strange little Italian cartoon man who had whimsical adventures. I looked it up on the web once and was stunned to find out there had only been eleven episodes! This was on every day through every summer of my childhood - how did I not notice they were all the same?

I remember Mr Rossi, can even remember the theme tune. I feel the same way about Bagpuss, how did I not notice all the repeats of them I must have seen?

I know, they only made about twelve of those didn't they?  I used to love it though, especially the one where they 'made' biscuits!

Another staple of ITV Summer Mornings was Vicky the Viking. Vicky was actually a boy but had a girl's name and long hair - not sure what that was all about...

"Mum, it's the one with the chocolate digestives again" - Classic!

Don't remember the Viking thing at all, I was more of a BBC girl though.

Nope, never heard of her - too recent for me maybe?

Late 80s/early 90s - but if you stuck to the BBC generally you probably wouldn't have heard of it.

Just for you:

Thanks

What about the classic 'Oskar, Kina and the Laser' a Russian (I think) dubbed into English drama? My goldfish was named Oskar after the boy in that show!

Don't remember that one! I remember The Boy Who Sold His Laugh - that was badly dubbed from some obscure country!
