Seeing as so many of us are trying to shift those excess Xmas pounds, I thought we could do with a diet forum. We can be a support group for each other when the choc cravings get too much.
My current weight: 13st 5lbs
My target weight: 12st 4lbs
Weight loss so far: 1lb, but I weigh myself once a week on a Saturday, so bear in mind that week does include New Year's Eve when I consumed many liquid calories! I consider this week the first week 'proper'.
I've had four chunks of CDM Wafer today, which I don't think is too bad. I also stuck to my low fat houmous and bagels for lunch, even though I had to go to Greggs for a colleague and could really have done with a pasty (hangover!)
OK Smurfy I'll join in. I am aiming to lose 2 stone by 20 May and I'm being sponsored to do so in aid of the children's cancer charity Clic Sargent. (Anyone want to sponsor me?)
I started on New Year's Day, have been walking to work, going to two dance classes a week and I'm off to a new exercise class in about ten minutes. So far I've lost.......(fanfare)......two pounds!
My current weight: Fat
My target weight : Not so fat
I have bought a pink talking skipping rope and a pedometer and plan to lose 2 stone for my big 40 in June.
I am quite trim and I think lots of walking is the key.
I have bought a pink talking skipping rope
Lou, what sort of thing does your skipping rope say?

Good idea smurfy! I will join in aswell.
Current Weight 9st 7lbs
Target Weight 9st
I am setting myself small goals. Once I reach 9st I will see how I feel and if I want to lose anymore. Being short does not help either! I walk from Charing Cross to work and back again so I get 40 minutes a day walking that way. I intend to walk home from the train station every night, that is another 25 mins.
My weigh in day is saturday morning.
How short? I'm 5' 4"
Im 6ft4, so that's one good thing - at least the extra pounds are stretched out!
Mine are squashed up!
'Keep jumping Porky'?
A bit like my talking scales - they keep saying "One at a time please."

I ordered them from Debenhams website so waiting on their delivery. Ordered a pink pedometer too. I imagine the skipping rope counts, not sure but will tell you as soon as they get here and I have skipped.lol

Unfortunately I've done my foot in so I am limited exercise-wise

Excuses, excuses
What have you done to your foot smurfy?
I wish I knew. It started hurting on Saturday; I thought it was my new shoes, but I'm still in agony, and the left foot is fine...
You need to eat more to enable your body to burn fat. If you hardly eat your body thinks it's a famine and stores fat.

Thanks for the encouragement guys - I need it!

I'm in the right range for my height, which I why I don't want to lose too much - just a few pounds so I feel less flabby.
Lost 2lbs - less than I was hoping for, but not bad considering my foot was knackered for most of the week, limiting my exercise.
Well done oldspice

Oopps!

Nice one Choccy!
I must have gone badly wrong somewhere last week as I've put a pound back on!
Thanks Smurfy. I was over the moon. I felt like a big blotted whale! I am a stone heavier than when I met David!

Congratulations Choccy Chick - that's really good progress! I think I've just discovered something I've been doing wrong - I was under the impression that pitta breads were good on a low-fat diet and I just noticed the ones I've been eating have around 7g!
Well done everyone. You are all doing so well.
