Title: Chocolate Tasting Clubs
Post by: Heavenly Truffles on January 02, 2006, 05:34:00 pm

Hi everyone. I'm new.

Are there any chocolatiers on here?

I make really extremely nice truffles and chocolates and, as I invented all the recipes myself, am always looking for new ideas!

I would also like to set up a group of tasters!

Any ideas or suggestions?

Can I mention my website here?

Cheers

GAZ

Hi,

Ask Chocadmin if you can mention your website - if he says no PM me the address

Where are you based? I'd love to join a tasting club - as long as you don't have to spit the choc out like you do with wine!

There are just three or four of us on the Forum who have an aversion to it that's all!

No pralines for me thanks! I'll have the coffee creams the others don't want.

What am I saying? Am I not on a diet????

Just about to make a large batch of choc & Cointreau.

I've bought some heart shaped moulds to try and make some Valentine truffle cakes.

I got a box of Cornish home-made chocolates from my work secret santa. They were very nice - I can particularly recommend a cherry flavoured dark chocolate. It wasn't alcoholic like most cherry chocolates it was a kind of cherry creme - gorgeous.

The chocolates were very nice, apart from the coffee one of course which is the only one I 'shared' (I mean I gave it away, not took a bite and gave the rest to someone else LOL). There were plenty of fruit cremes such as cherry, lemon, raspberry and strawberry. Those are my favourites so I was very pleased with my secret santa gift (almost everyone else got smellies from their secret santa)

Your secret santa done well! I love coffee chocolate so that box sounds good to me! Have they got a shop or is it just on line?

I believe they have a shop in deepest, darkest Cornwall somewhere. I am from the East of Cornwall on the border with Devon so I am not very familiar with my own county!

There is a company near Glasgow who sell ginger in dark chocolate. The chocolate is quite bitter but it's a nice combination.

Yes, a bit embarrasing if you needed to leave a meeting to go to the bathroom and jingled your way out of the room too, I expect

I liked the christmas socks they sone in accessorize. They had reindeer ones with a red bobbly nose

Post by: Cherry_Ripe on January 09, 2006, 03:09:34 pm

I had some similar with puddings which had red bobbly bits.

But I found putting them through the tumble drier melts the glue and means said red bobbles fall off
