Hi everyone. I'm new.
Are there any chocolatiers on here?
I make really extremely nice truffles and chocolates and, as I invented all the recipes myself, am always looking for new ideas!
I would also like to set up a group of tasters!
Any ideas or suggestions?
Can I mention my website here?
Cheers
GAZ

Sounds good to me. I sometimes make homemade chocolates.
-
I would love to be a chocolate taster...who wouldnt?

-
I would love to be one too.
-
Hi,
Ask Chocadmin if you can mention your website - if he says no PM me the address
Where are you based? I'd love to join a tasting club - as long as you don't have to spit the choc out like you do with wine!
-
Unless it's coffee flavoured of course.
-
Obviously!
-
What's wrong with coffee flavour?

What's wrong with coffee flavour?
There are just three or four of us on the Forum who have an aversion to it that's all!
-
No pralines for me thanks! I'll have the coffee creams the others don't want.
What am I saying? Am I not on a diet????
-
I just created a coffee, walnut and Belgian choc truffle and it's gorgeous
-
Just about to make a large batch of choc & Cointreau.
I've bought some heart shaped moulds to try and make some Valentine truffle cakes.
-
i think baileys with a bit of brandy would have me running to get my debit card !!!
-
I like proper mocha flavoured choc but not those awful things in revels.
-
Can't beat raspberry and white choc!
-
Amen!
-
I like white chocolate but not white chocolate maltesers
-
Well today I made some very fluffy choc and Baileys truffle, then double dipped it in Dark Belgian Chocolate.
I also created this

Ooh, I see you're only in Bromsgrove - just a quick trip up to me in Brum with my free choccies, save you putting them in the post
-
You want them for free AND you expect me to bring them to you!?!?!?!
Don't want much do you
-
They won't be for free as such - as an afficiando of the chocolatiere's art, I will provide an excellent consultancy service...
-
-
You'll have to come and get them!!!!
How many active members are there on this forum?
I may offer to send samples to everyone as long as there aren't hundreds of people.
-
There aren't really that many of us, maybe about 12.
-
WELL THERE ABOUT 25 REGULER HERE
SORRY caps
-
25? where?
-
I would love some samples.

I got a box of Cornish home-made chocolates from my work secret santa. They were very nice - I can particularly recommend a cherry flavoured dark chocolate. It wasn't alcoholic like most cherry chocolates it was a kind of cherry creme - gorgeous.
-
A cherry creme sounds gorgeous!
-
Yum, definitely!
-
Not like a Ruffle more like the strawberry creme in QS.

I had the box of 12 with a red lid
-
Was it nice Cherry?
-
The chocolates were very nice, apart from the coffee one of course
which is the only one I 'shared' (I mean I gave it away, not took a bite and gave the rest to someone else LOL). There were plenty of fruit cremes such as cherry, lemon, raspberry and strawberry. Those are my favourites so I was very pleased with my secret santa gift (almost everyone else got smellies from their secret santa)
-
Your secret santa done well! I love coffee chocolate so that box sounds good to me! Have they got a shop or is it just on line?
-
I believe they have a shop in deepest, darkest Cornwall somewhere. I am from the East of Cornwall on the border with Devon so I am not very familiar with my own county!
-
I like the look of the ginger chocs.
-
There is a company near Glasgow who sell ginger in dark chocolate. The chocolate is quite bitter but it's a nice combination.
-
My nan like's chocolate ginger and figs. We got her some chocolate covered figs from Lakeland.
-
Our secret santa banned choccie & smellies... don't care about the smellies but banning chocolate's criminal!!!
-
yep criminal indeed
-
We did a different sort of Secret Santa this year - everything had to come from a poundshop (of which we have many!). It was good fun.
-
what did you get?
-
Novelty Christmas Elf slippers!
-
do you like them?
-
Well I'm not really a slipper person but they were fun for a few days!
-
i don't wear slippers but my mam has promised to get me some fluffy eeyore slippers to match my jamas
-
Bless! I'm sure you'll look a picture in them....
-
probably look silly but my jamas made the postman smile.
-
That's cos you forgot to put the top on!
-
again?
-

Secret Santa bought our boss a pair of socks in a tin can, the socks had sleigh bells attached
Funnily enough he hasn't worn them to work yet, I wonder why???
-
You would hear him coming!
-
Yes, a bit embarrasing if you needed to leave a meeting to go to the bathroom and jingled your way out of the room too, I expect
-
I liked the christmas socks they sone in accessorize. They had reindeer ones with a red bobbly nose
-
I had some similar with puddings which had red bobbly bits.
But I found putting them through the tumble drier melts the glue and means said red bobbles fall off
-
I had disney store ones with bobbles on and some of those have come off as well.
-
Rum and raisin would be good.
