It doesn't seem to be, althourhg most council ofice/ place are shut for teh week! Until Januray 2nd, Althourgh that day is public hoilday in scotland, Nearly everyone wants that day off!

Huh? Today is a bank holiday here in England although my trash has been emptied. January 2nd is also a holiday in lieu of New Years Day, cos it on a Sunday.

It's a bank Holiday today because Christmas Day fell on a Sunday and Boxing Day is a Bank Holiday.
January 2nd in a Bnak Holiday because January 1st falls on a Sunday.

Oh, if only it were that easy! We have to investigate what the 'barriers to learning' are. We have to find out each learner's personal learning style and draw up an 'individual learning plan' followed by regular reviews. Sometimes these reluictant learners take up so much time nothing is left for the willing learners.

McDs is one of those companies that I think of as global parasites. They swallow up valuable resources, obliterate the landscape with their plastic-lego-looking fascias and allow their clients to litter the town/surrounding countryside with their ubiquitous (?) cartons and beakers. In addition, they turn perfectly healthy people into wobbling lard buckets.
I mean, you get a country that's a bit backward in terms of western development (ie they don't have indoor toilets or schooling past the age of 9) and along comes the west and says "If you want to compete on the world market and become a modernised state you have to get into the 21st century". So, these countries with beautiful cultures and traditions get a McDonalds on every corner.
Next thing you know the Disney store moves next door.

How ridiculous! This was about 8 years ago when I complained, as I took my son and a load of his friends on his birthday and at least three of them were veggies. I'm sure there are a lot more now so it's a bit short-sighted of McD's not to cater for them.

If you are the one doing the cooking, should you have to cook meat when you believe it is fundamentally wrong? My friend who complained about the Happy Meal is a single parent, so who could give her son meat?

Well there you are Smurfy! I'm sure you'll be quite happy handling and cooking a dead chicken as long as it is free range....
I am not a vegetarian but as long as you are careful and do your research, it is perfectly possible for a baby/child to be brought up in good health on a vegetarian diet. My nephew is 6'4" tall, a keen athlete and rarely has so much as a cold.

The last time I looked, a chicken was not a vegetable, free range or not. I find it offensive to suggest not eating meat is damaging to a child's welfare. Like Goldencup's nephew, I'm 6ft4 and in near perfect health. Compare that to the 20 year old who died because of his junk food diet last week. Eating veg doesn't seem so bad somehow does it?

Ipersonally don't like processed rubbsh, do enjoy the odd take away and enjoy a goog steak. However some of the kids I know quite happily eat macd's, burger king etc. In fact some of the adults I know enjoy this lifestyle. I recently moved in with my other 1/2 and 1 of the 1st thins I did wa empty the freezer of all he rubbish that was in there and he still hasn't noticed
Anyway the point is eat healthy stuff with a treat occassionally and don't force your ideals onto others. Be suttle n your approach.

If you are a veggie you can lead a very healthy life. I am unsure whether you should enforce it on your children, but they will eat what you give them if it tastes nice.
