Well I've just done a quick survey - one large tin of Quality Street, one box of Celebrations, one box of Heroes, one bag of Lindor, one huge slab of CDM, one box of Toblerone One By One, one box of Guylian Opus, and a huge box of Thorntons Mint Selection.
To say nothing of all the stuff we've got at work!
The diet is not looking good......
-
I got a box of Mingles (my Nan the legendary choc-hoarder bought ten boxes this year), a box of Pizazz, a box of Toblerone One by One and a Thorntons Toffee Truffle Egg (my mom thinks it's Easter!) Also munched my way through half a tin of Quality Street yesterday, the same amount of Roses at work on Friday, and we haven't even opened all the choc my mom and sister have had!

-
I only got lindors choclate
-
Terry's Chocolate Orange segments (
) and an additional Chocolate Orange
. A box of Pizaazz (they are horrible!!!!) and a tin of Quality Street with bloody Yorkie bars in them!!
I'm going off chocolate!
-
I got a great present from my Mom. A year's subscription to the Chocolate tsting club. The chos is wicked. Mind you at £24 for a box of 20 chocs it shud be.
-
Me... I broke with tradition... usually get a tin of Quality street and celebrations.... somehow this year blow out and ended up with just a box or twilights... Exactly how does that work???!
-
One box of lindor, two boxes thorntons, 2 boxes maltesers, one choc orange, one box dairy box, one box quality street, 4 boxes roses and as for alcohol well one bottle malibu, two bottles baileys, one bottle vodka and nine bottles of wine. I don't even drink at home so i will give the bottles away as birthday pressies. That's what i call recycling presents.
-
Wow, you did well Lou! I didn't even go into the alcohol but will mention the bottle of Baileys and Mudshake (banana flavour).
-
Banana mudshake!!!! that sounds yummy any alcohol in it?
-
Of course - Vodka!
-
OH... not vodka fan... like the sound of that but with rum
-
i got 2 boxes of green and black chocs, 1 from my mother in law and 1 from my sister in law, only thing was they had opened them and tried one of each flavour before wrapping them up !!! the clues where all there.... no sellophane wrapping , a lid that did not shut properly and a space in each flavour compartment lol ( bit of a give away that one lol ) think i will get them a box of thorntons each for their birthdays and do a bit of quality control myself.......just a little bite out of each choc should do it !!!! lol
-
-
Hmm, not sure I can remember everything but I'll have a go:
Numerous boxes of choccie biccies, a toblerone, 4 small bars of fairtrade choccie, a box of thorntons, a bag of fairtrade chocolate coins, some chocolate cats (just weird), a chocolate computer and mouse (not life size sadly), a chocolate orange, a mint chocolate orange, some left over pick and mix (wife was wrapping it into some presents :-) ,some quality street from work (although we've got a tub of miniature heroes for when we get back).
I think thats all but I'll probably find more when I go back downstairs
-
You've gone off chocolate then...
-
I've gone off chocolate oranges.
-
Oh yeah, and a box of mini assorted lindt bars, some dairy milk fruit + nut (not that i'm that keen on it), and I've been given a Carob bar for experimental purposes (non-dairy and gluten free - sounds yummy).
-
I got a Cadbury selection box and that was the only chocolate gift. I brought 2 boxes of QS, one ordniary and one the old style, a box of Roses, a box of Cadbury's caramels and a box of Guylian Shells.
-
I received 2 CDM selection boxes, a Lindt choc reindeer, a box of Pizzazz, a Thornton's choc Dougal and a set from Whittards with hot choc, choc flakes and choc truffles. Haven't finished it all yet of course
I bought myself a box of Prestat chocs from Harrods - they have nice quality chocolate, unusual flavours plus a really pretty box too. You can see them here: http://www.prestat.co.uk/
-
They look nice and different.
-
I noticed they were selling off Pizzazz really cheap in Sainsbury's - can't tell you how cheap as I didn't dare stop in case they leapt into my trolley when I wasn't looking.
-
I like those
-
I was disappointed with the orange one in Pizazz, it wasn't orangey enough for me.
-
Is that the one with ginger in?
-
I think it was supposed to be orange and caramel but it tasted almost coffee like to me.
-
I can't remember the exact flavours, but I thought the fudge one was nice.
-
I'll eat one of each tonight so I remember just what they taste like, just for you of course you understand
-
You are such a good friend!
There was also a raspberry one
-
Yes you're right, I think the raspberry one had white chocolate. There is also a milk chocolate bubbly one. But I am still going to eat some tonight just to be sure
-
Have you tried Bendicks Gorgeous yet?
-
No, as there are coffee ones in gorgeous which I don't like. I would like to try the Bendicks minty chocs though. And one of the new selections does a goosberry creme, I'd like to try that too.
-
The Bendicks Mint selection is very good! The bitter mints are really nice.
I have a gooseberry creme in my QS this year and it was yum.
-
Is the goosberry creme centre very sweet?
-
Its sweet enough but not too much. Its hard to describe. I like it

-
Sounds nice, I want to try it!
-
Its nice and different.
-
I usually like gooseberry things, like yogurt. It's sweet but sort of tangy as well.
-
I bought some of the Pizazz in Tesco redusced. Knew I hadn't been that impressed when I tried them before, but persisted in trying again just incase the bargain element made them more attractive.... sadly still found them a disappointment
. The only one that I would go back fo is the raspberry one. Still on the upside my disappointment was the kids gain!
Also took advantage of another reduced choc in Tesco ....After Eight Dark Chocolate Irish Creams. Usually like After Eights and anything with Irish cream flavour, but these are best discribed as repulsive

-
So who still has any Christmas choc left - or have you scoffed the lot?
-
I have my almost intact tin of Quality Street (complete with Yorkies). Also at work we have a large tin of Roses which we're trying to ignore. So far so good.
-
I had a job deciding which flavour was which in my Pizzaz selection. The raspberry one was just about OK except for the white chocolate but the rest were quite nasty.
-
I'm glad I resisted them in the sales then.
-
i haven't had Pizazz yet
-
I'm sure you soon will. They were selling them off cheap in Sainsburys round here.
-
i may buy some when i go shopping.
-
That's a good time to buy things.
-
i mean when i go to the supermarket
-
I know you did!
-
well that got you another two posts.haha
-
It was a bit Bounty-like though wasn't it? Sorry.
-
yep old coconut face would agree
-
-
I wonder if he stills calls by to check the posts. He never really used to talk to me very much anyway.
-
Well I finished my Pizazz at the weekend, and now I know it is the yellow one I didn't like much, that's the fudgey one. Actually the orange one I did like.
I still have some Xmas choccies left, my Lindt reindeer and Thornton's Dougal, but I have my eye on them for this week...
And I don't like the irish cream after eights either, strollingminstrel.
-
I haven't really got any chocolate left from Christmas, except a half eaten bar of CDM. My parents have got a whole load of choc just sitting on the side in the front room! I admire their will power. I nearly put wheel power then
-
My parents have still got an unopened box of After Eight mints! Wouldn't last 5 minutes in my place!!!
-
Same here! I have resisted the urge to open them as they are not mine. Perhaps the will power comes as you get older?
-
My parents do the same thing every year. My mum is a teaching assistant and the kids in her class often bring her chocolates at the end of term. She is not a chocolate lover. She waits until Hallowe'en (they are usually out-of-date by then) and gives them away to trick or treaters. So maybe I should ask to have some chocolate next time I am at my parent's, what do you think?
-
Well theres a good chance you might get some in that case!
-
I wonder if he stills calls by to check the posts. He never really used to talk to me very much anyway.

I feel like I have missed a lot of news since I was away 2 weeks over Christmas.
-
Same here Cherry! I think I know what they are talking about though.
