Title: Really similar bars
Post by: smurfboy on November 05, 2004, 05:11:54 pm
Why do certain comapnies make severla versions of the same thing? It mystifies me that Cadbury's launched Twirl and Spira within a year, and now have Flake Dipped - the difference is minimal! Yet bars like Five Centres which are a bit more unusual get dropped. Weird eh...

Its market research etc - giving the people what they think the people want - but on occasion getting it quite wrong! As is the case with 5 centres and cabana and texan etc

Apparently, Cabanas were only on sale up North and were not sufficiently popular to market nationwide!

Or was that the Secret?

Anyway, talk about lack of research!

So, could it be the Secret then?
