Did 623 mean "Killing spree?" I've never seen any other endings...

It's a reference to an episode of 'The Simpsons', in which Bart and Lisa find an alternate, happy ending to 'Casablanca'. The studio exec behind it pays them to get rid of it and take the alternate 'It's a Wonderful Life' ending too, which sees the main character go on a killing spree.

Ahhh i see - i thought it might be like Titanic, with the alternative ending ( which i haven't seen - anyone know what it is? Please tell me that it isn't a huge, A Team style hairdryer at the front of the boat that melts the iceberg prior to collision...)

I still giggle at the French & Saunders Titanic spoof.

The best ending to a film is The Railway Children. "Daddy! My Daddy!".

   It gets me every time.

Apparently when Nick Leeson got cancer, the studio behind 'Rogue Trader' delayed production of the film in the hope that he would die and give them a more dramatic ending!

Having seen the film, I think delaying production permanently would have been the best option.

One of the newpapers was giving away DVDs of Rogue Trader free. Did they think it would help sell papers????

I must admit I will often buy a paper for the free DVDs - where else can you get a DVD for 50p? Don't think I'd have bothered with that one though!

Yeah, the comedy ones are OK.

Can't imagine who would want to watch a film about a man buying and selling too many shares. It must be like watching a film of Imelda Marcos buying shoes.

Me too Oldspice!  Unfortunately my other half spoils it by going "Phwoar, Jenny Agutter!"

I joined Amazon's DVD rental scheme and so have seen more films recently than I would normally have watched. This weekend I watched Shaun of the Dead which I really enjoyed!

I really enjoyed that one. I laughed quite a lot and I was not put off my ham and pineapple pizza.

I'm with you on this one 623... The Shawhank Redemption is an excellent film!

Anyone seen Napoleon Dynamite? Fantastic film, quirky and funny.

We do a talking Napoleon Dynamite keyring at work. I'd never heard of it before but apparently it's quite a cult, and people either love it or hate it.

I enjoyed watching "Napoleon Dynamite" but wouldn't say I loved it; certainly not enough to buy a talking keyring!

Last weekend I watched "Shaun of the Dead" and liked that much more.

I can get all the latest DVDs free from the library but I can never be bothered to watch films.  I do occasionally go to the cinema (twice in the last fortnight but that's unusual) but I don't like watching them at home - I can't concentrate and find myself doing something else at the same time.

I like watching films as long as I am not tired. If I am tired I will fall asleep no matter how good the film is.

Me and Choccy Chick have a naughty plan to send her boyfriend to see Brokeback Mountain and not tell him it's about gay cowboys.

He asked me what the film was about and being ever honest I said ' Gay cowboys'. He didn't actually believe me.

One of my friends went to see it and apparently a couple walked out in disgust!

VERY full on. I was surprised as I'd heard it wasn't that explicit.

Wow, I think David would have left the cinema in that case. If it had been 2 women, it would naturally be a different story!

I've heard it is pornographic but also boring. Ie - sex with no story.

I didn't find it boring. It's slow at first, but it needs to be to get into its stride. It's quite bizarre in some bits because the actress who plays Heath Ledger's wife is his real wife too, so it's like watching him cheat with a man for real!
