The mid-late 50s and 1960s were a golden time for confectionary following years of rationing. I don't remember any of the things you describe but they sound fantastic.
So many of my favourites from past years have gone. Now the sweet shops are full of bland, boring products based on caramel/toffee/biscuit/nut/wafer themes. It's very hard to get a decent boiled sweet too, unless you go on the websites such a Hello Sweetie.
Remember stepping into a sweet shop to be surrounded by jars and jars of "suckers"? And hasn't the taste of the sweets changed? I swear that Caramac and Milky Bar have become sweeter and less creamy. Tuck into a Toffe Crisp these days if you can. It's horrible! Nasty cheap chocolate and filling.
Pieeye, do you remember Punch bars? What were the fillings like? And do you remember when Picnic bars had no nuts in them? I swear they changed them in the late 60s or thereabouts.
I guessed your comments about 50's and 60's was from memory.

Hmmmm. Or of course you could have looked at the profile....
I didn't do that. I'm not a spy
I followed my comments about the 50s and 60s with the words 'I don't remember any of the things you describe'.
I think you are more familiar with me than you're letting on!
