Title: Massive explosion at oil depot

An oil depot near Hemel Heampstead has exploded this morning.  Fire and a huge plume of smoke are rising 100s of metres in the air.  It can hold 120,000,000 gallons or something and there are eye witness accounts of a plane and a smaller explosion before a big explosion but the plane is unconfirmed and might not be related.  The police are for now treating it as an accident.  The M1 is closed in both ways near Luton.

No, amazingly just two seriously injured and around 40 minor injuries.  I don't think anyone could have been at the depot when it went up, the injured are from nearby factories and offices.  The time of the accident; 6.00 on a Sunday morning was about the quietest it could have.  Can you imagine if it had happened at say, 10 oclock today!  Doesn't bear thinking about.

Look on the positive side, it wasn't that bad after all.
