.....these look gorgeous. Pricey for what you get (eight I think), but I know what I'll be scoffing come Xmas morning (if I can wait that long....).
-
Who sells them, how much and what do they look like?
-
I've seen them in Woolies and Wilkinson.
They're about 2-3 pound for a packet, come in white and milk and are basically a large, hollow ball of chocolate with a malteser rattling inside.
Yum.
-
Thanks for that...i must go buy some.
-
You're welcome
!
I've bought a few packets already. The real challenge will be to see if I can resist the inevitable temptation....
-
I had them 2 Christmas ago and was disappointed. I mean, think how much crunchy malty stuff you could actually fill it with!
-
Sounds like you got your bah humbug head on.
-
I bought them last year and they are a bit of a rip off. The emphasis is on the 'hollow' - you don't actually get much chocolate for your money, and only one normal size Malteser in the middle, looking rather lost. Now if they were actually giant Maltesers that would be different.....
-

Ooh, haven't tried one yet. I'm glad I didn't buy too many in that case!
*bah, humbug*

Great minds think alike, I see.

Yeah, I would like a Mars-bar sized Malteser bar. And I am still waiting for plain choc Maltesers.
-
-
They may be a bit expensive but its a bit of fun at Christmas!
I am thinking about getting a nice tin of Fox's Creations at Christmas and having some Christmas morning with a nice cup of tea!
-
Despite my complaints I agree with you there CC - and they do look nice on the tree!
-
And it's a bit of indulgant fun. If we can't let our hair down at Christmas...when can we...
-
I just made my boyfriend buy some of these from Woolies but I've asked him to hide them from me! Just to be on the safe side. At first thought they were giant maltesers...but I guess that would be gross....and we got smarties tree chocs which are very similar but filled with mini smarties...wow, things have really moved on from the days of those nasty cheap choccie hollow santas!!
-
Might have to take a look at the tree decorations myself...

Giant Maltesers sound pretty good to me!
-
Sounds like my kind of happiness.

I had a big packet of Revels on Sunday. We tipped them into a bowl and started munching....when we got to the end we discovered there was only 3 Maltesers ones in the whole packet!
-
well done.if you want maltesers you can buy maltesers.replace the malteser with a cherry and coconut one.
-
